Proof that the building envelope performs.
FTS provides independent field testing of installed windows, doors, storefronts, and curtain wall systems — verifying air infiltration and water penetration resistance to the published standard before problems reach the occupant.

Testing that tells you the truth about the installation
Laboratory ratings describe a product in ideal conditions. Field testing measures how the product actually performs once it is installed in the wall — including the interface where most leaks begin.
Air infiltration
We seal a calibrated chamber to the specimen and measure the airflow needed to hold a set pressure difference, isolating leakage through the unit itself.
Water penetration
Calibrated spray plus static or cyclic pressure replicates wind-driven rain, while the interior face is observed for any water entry.
Diagnostic leak tracing
When a unit fails, we locate the source — hose-directed checks and chamber methods to find the path before remediation.
Most leaks live at the interface, not in the catalog
A window can carry an excellent laboratory rating and still leak once it is set, shimmed, sealed, and flashed in the field. Independent testing on the actual building catches installation defects while they are still inexpensive to fix — and gives the design team documented proof of compliance.
- Verify compliance with the project specification
- Catch installation defects before enclosure and occupancy
- Resolve disputes with objective, documented data
- Test early and at intervals on large projects
